Training of trainers completed

To help change the perception of women as not having sufficient competencies to take the leadership roles in sport organisations, the SUCCESS project will give women – future leaders in sport organisations in Europe – the opportunity to improve their competencies in the field of sport management and leadership. That is the main goal of the training programme which will be organised from October 2016 to May 2017.

To ensure high quality of the training programme, as well as its sustainability, members of staff of the SUCCESS project have been trained for the delivery of the training programme. The training of trainers i.e. deliverers of the training programme was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 31 May 2016 to 3 June 2016.
The training of trainers was organised to prepare the deliverers of the training programme for the implementation of the training programme.

They have learned about the design of the training programme and administrative procedures, they have learned how to deliver the training programme, and, most importantly, they have learned how to use facilitation techniques and methods in the implementation of the training programme. Supporting participants, building a learning community and evaluating participant’s progress were of the highest importance among the other topics covered by the training of trainers programme.

By the end of the training, training programme deliverers have been successfully trained to train and mentor participants in order to be able to keep them motivated and to learn how to support them in developing case studies.

The mentoring system was set up to provide support to participants during the period of long-distance learning during which participants will be preparing their case studies.

Intense working programme was completed with a team building activity that took place on the ancient Dubrovnik City Walls, a perfect place for bonding and inspiration. Trainers left Dubrovnik confident in their newly acquired skills and motivated for the hard work ahead of them.
