Good Governance in Sport

The European Week of Sport aims to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. It will inspire Europeans to #BeActive on a regular basis and create opportunities in peoples’ everyday lives to exercise more.

At the heart of the 2016 European Week of Sport will be the Flagship Event. The theme of this year’s Flagship Event will be ‘Good Governance in Sport’. The expected participants will be high-level representatives of major sport federations, European Olympic Committees and National Olympic Committees as well as representatives of EU institutions, Member States and other European and international organisations. The event will take place in Brussels on 15 September 2016.
The European Commission has invited the Project Manager of the SUCCESS Project to present the project at the conference ‘Good Governance in Sport’.  The presence in such a high-level event will help promote gender balance in the representation in decision-making positions in sport governing bodies among decision-makers, stakeholders, experts from across Europe and other participants of the conference.
