Managing Strategically in the Croatian Cycling Federation
Croatian Cycling Federation one of the oldest federations in Croatia it is founded in the year 1894. Croatian Cycling Federation is national federation with the main tusk to manage and promote all kinds of cycling. Our members are 105 clubs and we have over 800 licensed riders.
Croatian Cycling Federation doesn’t have any strategic plan. Paid staff and volunteers are not interested in developing the strategic plan because the roles and responsibilities are poorly defined there is no one to lead the strategic planning process. Furthermore there is the lack of clear cohesion amongst activities and there is a need to clearly define priorities and objectives
Lack of understanding in CCF about why the NF needs a strategic plan CCF needs to demonstrate good governance and to communicate goals, values and key objectives to stakeholders. It is important that CCF also ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the need for a strategic plan and are committed to helping its development. NF needs to develop clear procedures for involving necessary people and collecting the information that is needed.
We have to ensure that all stakeholders are willing to be involved in the process and we have to explain them the benefits of developing the strategic plan and at the end we have to ensure that the process is thorough
To be more efficient we have to determine the rolls and responsibilities, nominate a person in charge.
We have to include all recourses in making of the plan and an assessment of the cost of the work involved
Clear definition of the roles and responsibilities is first to be done. We have to include all members in planning and mobilize them and motivate because including all NF members brings synergy in resolving of the problem
Giving the main tasks to employees decrease will the costs but important is the synergy of all members as we said before. Strategic plan is of a great value for the prosperity of any NF without it there is no progress
Organising the Croatian Cycling Federation
Croatian Cycling Federation is not effective enough in managing the federation. We need to make some changes to improve our effectivity.
Croatian Cycling Federation one of the oldest federations in Croatia it is founded in the year 1894. Croatian Cycling Federation is national federation with the main tusk to manage and promote all kinds of cycling. Our members are 105 clubs and we have over 800 licensed riders. Despise that CCF is one of the oldest federations in Croatia lot of things are disorganised. There is not enough effectiveness in the implementation of organisational goals. Not enough effectiveness in the implementation of organisational goals is one of the main problems that’s because there is no organisational plan. Without it there is no clear vision that could be understandable to all stakeholders. There is no will and understanding of importance of that plan. Organisational plan helps to improve effectiveness in the implementation of organisational goals, improve efficient management of NF, Improves the communication with NFs members.
Clear definition of the roles and responsibilities is first to be done. In the office we have to employees which roles are defined by our Statute and daily tasks given by Board. The amount of work is getting larger by the time and we will need more employees.
You cannot achieve your goals without good governance. In CCF there is a lot of space for improvement. We have to make deadlines for work that has to be done. All people involved in a CCF governance have to put their heads together for the benefit of cycling in Croatia. The benefits will be comprehensive. When we manage a better organisation all stakeholders will be more satisfied and motivated for a future work. We will be able to increase funding and improve results in all areas of work. That will also lead to more competitors and better sport results, which is at the end our main goal.
