Managing Finance in the Croatian DanceSport Federation
Through this study I will present financial management of Croatian DanceSport Federation, problems we are facing, and potential solutions that are possible to implement in the work of NF.
NF is successful in financial budgeting, planning and reporting due to clearly defined procedures and responsibilities. Financial performance is reported accurately and transparently but financial management isn’t an extension of strategic planning therefore NF applies only short-term financial planning. Main NF’s problem is insufficient financial development and growth.
Based on knowledge acquired in Success Leadership Program, problems in the organisation of the federation are identified, as well as reasons for insufficient development of financial management. The problems that federation encounters can be reduced to three main issues that are further specified through their negative and positive consequences. Furthermore, few solutions along with their positive and negative impact on the work of the federation are presented. Finally, suggested are the most accessible and acceptable solutions for federation in the current operational context.
With new knowledge we will be able to develop strategies to control finances in order to achieve NF’s goals.
Organising the Croatian DanceSport Federation
Croatian DanceSport Federation (CDSF) operates in unstable operating environment and relies on volunteer members who manage organisation and lead changes but have a lack of knowledge of good governance. Federation is successful in managing the processes due to clear and documented procedures and regulations, in information management and technology thanks to expertise volunteers.
Main problems are in the process of planning, implementing and achieving strategic goals.
